First off, let’s begin with the official PC requirements for R6.
Minimum specs for Rainbow Six:
- Intel Core i3 560 or AMD Phenom II X4 945
- Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 or AMD Radeon HD5770
- 6 GB RAM
- 61 GB hard drive space
A new installment in one of the best acclaimed FPS series is one tough cookie. I tend to use new games as an opportunity to upgrade my setup or even buy something new. It would be easy to build a desktop PC to run Battlefield 5. But it’s a complete opposite if we’re looking for a laptop. I’ve taken my time and compiled a list of adapted BF5 requirements for laptops, what specific hardware we’ll need and what laptops are best at every price range fulfilling these requirements without breaking the bank. At the end, I’ll add a laptop comparison spreadsheet of top laptops for Battlefield 5 and gaming.
The wait is finally over and we got a worthy successor for The Crew. Together for Forza Horizon, TC has become the go to game for casual racing. The Crew 2 is back in town to show that it’s the OG in its niche and that Need For Speed Payback can’t touch it.
These days many new games require brand hardware to run them properly. But it seems Ivory Tower did a fine job optimizing the game so The Crew 2 will reach high framerates on a upper mid-range laptop. But the minimum requirements are rather high and that can be a big problem especially if you’re looking for a laptop to play TC2. Entry level laptop just won’t cut it. We’ll need some research to find great options to choose from for the best laptop for The Crew 2. Luckily enough, I’ve already done it for you.
I’m so glad Epic Games finally got a mainstream hit. I’ve been a fan of theirs since Unreal Tournament 2003. They have produced one of, if not THE best, game engine series of all time. And who’s better at showing its potential than Epic Games themselves. It seems they looked at PUBG and decided they can do it better. And they did – they nailed down the battle royale genre so good that they got sued. Fortnite has skyrocketed from an obscure game to a a worldwide phenomenon. Even though the game is free, it requires a fairly up-to-date machine. That’s even more true for laptops that have lagged miles behind desktop PCs. But with the latest processor and graphics releases, we can find the best laptop for Fortnite at every price range.
I’ll begin with Fortnite’s official requirements.
When it comes to hardware requirements, Lumion is one of the few suites of software that will demand the very best. A few years ago there hardly was any hardware capable of running Lumion at a desktop level. Of course, even the best laptops can’t match top shelf desktop hardware but it can get surprisingly close. With recent improvements with Nvidia’s 10th generation graphics, I can finally recommend some laptops for Lumion.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the games that will make you upgrade your PC. When I first started playing PUBG during early access, I still had a 5-year-old laptop that did not match well with PUBG. I could barely reach 25 FPS. I just couldn’t take it. It was time to upgrade my setup. Even a couple of my squad friends had to upgrade their laptops to get decent framerates.
I have looked at over 1000 modern laptops, filtered them down to 229 laptops. All of them have at least 970M or GTX 1050, 1080p, 8 GB RAM, high-performance processor (more on that below) and a Solid State Drive. Then I boiled it all down to top 6 laptops. On top of that, I’ve included the complete spreadsheet of all laptops, their specs and their benchmarks at the end of the guide.
2018 June Update. Post has been updated for the new Sanhok map release.
Music and computers. A match made in heaven of two of my favorite hobbies. I’ve recently started experimenting with Ableton due to the sheer number of freezing and bugs I experienced with FL Studio and that seemed to be as good of a reason as any to work out what would be the appropriate PC/Mac hardware for working with AL 9.7. First, let’s tackle the question of the best laptop for Ableton Live.
For the majority of personal computing history, the desktop has been the go-to choice for anyone that wanted to get some work done or browse the internet. Over the past few years, this has started to change significantly; in fact, we compute on the train, in coffee shops, and even as we wait patiently at the dentist’s office. As a result, many people want to have more portable computer options that are a little more powerful than what’s available on a smartphone of a tablet. In fact, recently I decided to retire my own aging desktop and move on to a powerhouse laptop, which is why I decided to create this article so that you can make the change as well. Having said that, let’s take a look at the best desktop replacement laptops.
Programming and software developers span an incredibly large field of needs when looking for the best laptops for developers. Those who are working on graphics intense projects may need to pop in and out of programs quite often to see if what they’re doing is actually registering correctly. For those working on less visual requiring checks, processor power is most likely their best friend. Here, we’ll look at several different categories and their ideal requirements for each section. RAM and HDD/SSD aren’t included here. Get what you prefer the most in these categories.
