Best laptops for Xbox One Streaming
Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM
The first laptop on the list comes with pre-installed Windows 10 and includes Office 365. You won’t need to set up Windows 10 for yourself so you can start using Xbox One App instantly.
Performance of this Asus isn’t the best, but for streaming, it is enough to stream on Wi-Fi. It is required to have strong Wi-Fi connection and it depends on the router a lot. I’d recommend using Google Wifi System as it is flexible to cover ~1500 square meters, reliable connectivity and easy to use mobile app.
HP 17-X116DX
If you want a laptop that is bulkier but has fastest internet connectivity on Ethernet port, this deal is for you. There will be more wires on Xbox One Streaming setup, but it’s worth the internet performance.
Talking about the laptop itself, it comes with 1 slot of 8 GB RAM, so you can install up to 32 GB in two DDR4-2133 SDRAM slots. USB Type-C and VGA ports. Sadly it comes without a backlit keyboard. Last great addition is that it has Windows 10 Home 64-bit preinstalled.
Lenovo Flex 4
Great battery life, but 9 hours is according to manufacturers, so realistically it would be about 6-7 hours of battery while browsing on Wi-Fi with medium brightness. The best feature of this laptop is its 360-degree hinge, so you can rotate the display accordingly to your setup. With this, you can save up space if you want to see only the screen and “hide” the keyboard by using it as a stand.
Performance wise laptop has dual-core 7th generation i5, 8 GB RAM which is more than enough for accepting processed images from Xbox one. The display comes with IPS technology that allows watching the screen from narrow angles and a backlit keyboard for non-streaming usage.
Dell Inspiron i5378-7171GRY
Dell always produces well-designed laptops that can suit multiple purposes. For example, this Inspiron model can handle Xbox One streaming while being used as business laptop. Display includes IPS technology with high screen benchmarks (Contrast 1:1000; Color Gamut ~230cd/m²; sRGB ~58%)
Weight and keyboard are other great factors for casual usage. It weighs only 1.6kg (3.4 lbs) and the keyboard is backlit so it is possible to use it at night when you are not streaming.
Microsoft Surface Pro
Using a Microsoft product to stream with Xbox One is a great option as it is the most supportive laptop. This Surface Pro 3 has extremely healthy battery so when streaming you won’t need to think about any cables at all.
Comparing to the previous laptop this device lacks connectivity port for another usage, but trading that off you get powerful dual-core processor, 8 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD all packed in 0.8kg (1.7lbs) laptop!
